Hi all,
I am heading to Pebbly beach, near Grafton camping this Saturday. I have decided to take along my 4.1m brooker tinnie to try some of the close inshore reefs in search off bottom fish. Could anybody give me any advice as to locate the local reefs in this area. Also might consider trolling garfish for mackeral, does anybody know if they are around down there this time of the year? Thanks in advance for your advice,

Beatiful spot mate. If the sweell is kind you will have a ball out in your rig. There are many reefs close to shore with a few which are visible from shore. Not sure about whats around there this time of year, snapper i presume and i am sure some one with more knowledge about the area will help you out. If the swell is down it is an easy launch in the southern corner, beach launch thou.

It is a beautiful spot. the mackrel should be about mate yeah. some good beach fishing there too never dragged my boat down there although I plan to. there are some shallow bombies not far off sure I have seen em break before. if you have a sounder I am sure you will have no problems finding some ground around there. some of the islands fish OK to so I am told and they aren't too far off shore.
I can't get down this weekend but next time your going look me up I will take my boat down for the day and I am sure we can find a few bits of reef around the place between us.

Things are looking a little gloomy, 2m easterly swell, not the greatest swell for a beach launch, but I am still taking the tinny anyway. Taking the Malibou board as well, just to keep my bases covered ! will keep you guys informed. Might take you up on that offer Coucho, but only usually head down once a year or so.
