last nights fish

i went and had a crack at a jew last night took me about 1 1/2 hrs to get my mullet (5 nice 30cm )got to were i was fishin tide was still runnin fairly hard about 2 hours to low my first bait hit the water and before i could click my reel into gear i felt a solid hit followed by a blistering run iset the hooks and 1 min later was landing a nice little jew about 10kg hadnt even been there for 5 min and had my first fish next bait hits the water this time it makes it to the bottom and lasted about 2min and took off i set the hook and nearly got dragged in (pretty dicey fisshin for big fish off the rocks with 80 -100lb line and a locked drag when you only weigh about 60kg yourself i have to stand up twice to cast a shadow)anyway after half a spool of line was torn from my reel i decided i was goin to have to put the brakes on this one or hes goin to rock me as soon as i grabbed the spool evrything went slack i pulled the hook (another problem fishin with such heavy gear if ya dont hook the fish in a GOOD SPOT its easy to tear the hook out i didnt get a sniff for the next hour sodecided to release my remaining mullet and call it a night try again tonight ps no longtails today wrong wind ill try them agian tomorrow

great fish mate makes my 8.5 kg fish look small where did you get it down sth?

Pity you missed the bigger one.

That's bigger than 10 kg as well.

ffejsmada it was just lucky to pull the scales to 10kg and pete i think sleep is a waste of good fishin time the last couple of days sleep about 3 hours a night

i forgot to add to get a good photo of ya fish hold it out in front of you makes the fish look bigger this might be why you think its bigger than 10kg
