how do i reform my butt foam?

I just cut down one of my rod butts as it was uncomforable to use.
The only drama i have now is the foam doesnt match the butt end.
So how do i retapper the foam to match the butt end?

I cut it down to the approximate size with a small hacksaw and they just sand it into shape with sandpaper.

80 grit wet n dry will cover most sins..on a cork block and away you go...
finish off with a TURPS soaked rag and a good rub to re new the grip after sanding...

How do i keep it looking cylindrical?

sand it carfefully...its easier if you have a lathe OR a set of wheels ect to roll the rod while you sand the grips...
again just sand itaround the grip in a sweeping motion, instead of just working on 1 area to prevent a flat spot....
