if you can get down early try the sand pumping jetty or the rockwall into the seaway. iF you have no luck there head back round into the broadwater just up from seaworld has produced for me in the past month. Just keep moving and you should hook up with a nice bream or Lizard. If not try flicking some small poppers or get some live worms for the whiting. There is still plenty around in the broadwater, JUst keep moving around till you find em.
There are to great tackle shops in the vicintiy, doug berts tackle world and southport fish and dive so if you get stuck for gear or want some local advice hit them up.
Should be a good day for it - best of luck mate
