I'm trying to find out what does the infinite anti reverse look like in a diawa saltiga 4500z.can't find any parts list on the net..

Haven't pulled a Saltiga down but I'm guessing it will be like other spin reels with IAR.Look for a short cylinder/disc that is secured to the top of the reel body and housed under the rotor head,it (the disc/cylinder) will have a one way clutch bearing sealed up inside it along with an actuating ring that sits on a lug that will be conected to the AR lever/switch.If you delve into the workings be very carefull not to lose any of the needle rollers as they will drop out quite easily and can be a nightmare to reasemble.

I have seen that round cylinder/disc under the rotor about 40mm across,is that just a standard thread to wind anti clock wise to open..

I ask this as something doesn’t feel right. The rotor will not spin freely like other diawa's as if some friction is slowing it down and i can hear it rubbing when spinning.
It either needs lube or its wearing out..any ideas to what’s happening would be appreciated..

found the problem in the ani reverse bearing being dry.lubed it up and come good..

Have to say that all of the IAR's I've pulled apart on threadlines have been held together by screws with every alternating screw going into the body of the reel so I can't help you with that one.It sounds like you've got the rotor head off,if so give it a turn (the handle) if the noise/rubing sensation is not apparent the problem is probably a missplaced or worn out shim in the rotor assembly,if it's still there it will more than likely be the main bearing/bearings carrying the pinion gear, whatever it is you realy need a schematic to ensure everything goes back in the correct order.

PS just read your edit so dissregard this post.
