Howdy Folks, Its been awhile since i have posted a report due to windy weather.
Managed to fish with Steven 78 in his Galeforce today.
We left Manly boat harbour around 6am for a snapper plastics session around the Rouse, Harry's area.
lots of boat traffic today made the drifting hard but we did manage to put together a nice feed.
Fished in 20 metres with 1/2oz jigheads and 7" plastics.
Bite was hot for about 1 hour then the place shut down.
Great weather conditions, good company and a feed of fish what more could you want.
Biggest squire went 1.5 kilo and 50 cms.
Cheers Brent

Hi Brent,

Were there any bust offs?? Nice haul of fish, I wonder if there are bigger fish in 20 mtrs? You guys cheat with Steve's nice sounder:P ::) Must have been a pearler of a day, no wind at my place early.

Hi Scalem, One big fish took Steve's line on a screaming run this morning and it wasn't about to stop when the line broke.
They love the 7" chooks!!!!!
Cheers Brent
PS: we chased a few schools of longtails but no hookups.

Nice feed there Brent. Stevens Galeforce seems to be a fish magnet;D
Looks like the weather curse may have slipped up and let a good one through :)
I'm sitting at home nursing a busted knee feeling pretty sorry for myself at the moment:P

Hopefully this will be the start of a few fish for all of us as the last 4 months have been pretty ordinary

Cheers

Hey Brent/Steve, looks like you blokes made good use of a nice day. A fine haul.Would have been nice to connect with a LT.Actually would have been nice to be on the water instead of painting the living room and dinning room. Well done fellas and cheers

It was a good day and i just woke up from a kip. My hands are sunburnt and sore but it was worth it. Thanks for coming along Brent. The fish are still there. You only have to explore. One thing today is that we did not see much bait at all. We only did 70kms. I just hope the weather clears for Monday. I was using my new 60lbs rig with 80lbs trace 1/2 once 7 inch SP which did not seem the scear them off. Good night Steve :)

Hi Mark, Harries still has a few pieces of structure if you look around but i think most of the artificial reef has been covered over by sand buildup.
Over the years i have fished this area i have pulled up old tyres and one time a huge yacht plough anchor with 50 metres of chain attached.
The best time to fish Harries is on a week day because its almost impossible to drift around with all the boats anchored on a weekend.
Cheers Brent.

I can so relate to not going out due to wind. Yesterday was a pearler. Glad you got a feed Brent. Gives me hope for Monday.

Cheers,

Good to see a report & a few fish Brent! Might be time to think about hitting the bay again but those damn whiting keep calling! All in due course i guess...

Without a doubt the best time for that area are weekdays!

Great effort again!

Hi Cammo, Mate the bigger cod are the breeders and the smaller 45cm ones are tastier on the dinner plate.
Cheers Brent.

Good to see you two have not lost your touch. I was beginning to wonder. I am going to sneak out to Mud on Tuesday and see whats around. Tide and moon look perfect for a 5.30am-7am bite time. Stay tuned.
