E.T Rods

I was wondering who has used or has an E.T rod and are they good for soft plastics?

The one i bought for my granfather was terrible it snapped on the first decent bream he got on and it wasnt what you would call a monster bream it was about 32cm. Also he was not high sticking it or putting any undue stress on the rod and he had his drag set normally not to tight not to loose.
The rod was a 7 ft et plastics rod it was faulty as a bitch. It may have just been the 1 rod and others may be fine but this one really sucked and i wouldnt go near another one.

I just bought a berkley Enforcer and loaded it with 6lb braid (+mono backing which was on it when i bought it).

i tell ya.. awesome rod. first fish was a 45cm queenfish and this rod went beautifuly. felt every kick the fish made and had the rod fully loaded with a nice bend in it...

paid $159.95 at the local fishing store... well worth every penny into the light weight class. however i couldn't convince myself to go as light as 4lb

Cheers,i was looking at a rod around $100,but i will take a look and see what they are worth here,probably around the same amount but i will see,i have so many rods to buy in my head i don't know what one to buy

You could get a Berkley Drop Shot, they retail for around $100 and are designed specifically for soft plastics fishing. I don't use them myself (only because I'm a bit of a big spender when it comes to tackle) but they are super popular so they must be half decent!

i had a 6'6 et plastics rod. I never used plastics with it, just hardbodies all the time. I find this rod to be great when it comes to fighting fish and throwing lures. It handled a 50cm golden trevally on 6lb braid with ease. It had a good even bend throughout the rod and felt really nice.

I've got a 6' and a 6'6 ET 'special edition' rod/s. They were well priced at BigW and have caught heaps of snapper up to 60cm on them - all on SP's. The are identical to the shimano backbone rods of the same length/weight which sell for $99 - i know because I bought a shimano backbone first and ended up returning it after carefully comparing the two rods.

They are a decent beginner rod for SP's at a low price. I don't use mine any more because I've moved to better things, but I don't catch any more fish with the newer rods (in fact maybe less?!?).

had the 7 foot version as my first ever plastics rod.... it managed to pull in a 23lb carp on 6lb mono when bait fishing.. impressive for its price

Bit late mate,already bought a rod but later on in my life i'm sure i will get one
