have decided on x125 or 135 is the amber backlight on the x125 hard to read in sunlight and are you happy with the x125 or do you think the x135 is a far better sounder $125 differance

Go for the 135 mate iv had a few hiccups with my 125 and all my mates have 135s no probs, and their screen is easier to use.IMO

I have had a few issues with my 125. The backlight is not great and the screen can be hard to read. With the price you are going to pay locally for one why not look OS at some of the colour jobs

Hi mate,
I got my Humminbird from OS and had trouble from day 1. Eventualy i sent it back to USA and had it back in less time it took for the local bloke to get it back to me, 7 days. At the current USD trading at 93.99 I wouldn't hesitate in getting one from OS. BassPro are reputable along with one or two others who i can't remember.

Hi, I have a X125 and am more than happy with its performance for the 14 months it has been on my boat. The screen is as clear as the 135 in daylight as the Backlight is generally not on!! Most places have the 125 for under $400 ... anything over that I would definitely look at a colour unit from overseas ... most of them get sent back there for any warranty issues anyway!!
