08-09/03/08 Wavebreak Island-Don Cusson's Memorial Shield.

Hello all,

14 members attended which are 3 ladies and 11 mens.
Guess who won Don Cusson's memorial shield this time?? Its me!!
With 11 whitings over 25cm's (total 12 which one was 24cm's and elven was all over 25cm's)
I came first and the ladies came 2nd and 3rd. Excellent job!!
On the shield-years past as noticed all mens name lists which won it, finally this year lady (me) won it for this time!!! I feel proud of it!
Worked very harder than mens ;D

Happy fishing,
favourite_whiting ;D

;D :-X as the captain of our fishing club are going to give mens a hard time next time when he sees them next :-X ;D

Hello all,
Had those whitings with cool salads for dinner on 10/03/08.
Tastes very yummy!
Kids love it and wanted MORE!! :D

Will get them more when we be able to go fishing one day.

Forgot to add-one of my mate caught biggest whiting which was measured 44cm I think, weighted 0.550g on 08/03/08 at Wavebreak Island.

Happy fishing,
favourite_whiting ;)

Hello all,
Remember about those Don Cussion's Shield....
I won it and got the Shield last year, December '08'
I looked through the history of winners....
From 1983 to 2007, saw it men won it, not yet of any ladies. I had asked my BDAC's president and he told me that those ladies did tried their best and almost won it but at fault....
Finally for 2008, that I won it :D ;D Really felt proud of it.

Happy fishing!

Cool, is this open to anyone, and if so what dates ? you might get a more diverse array of competitors if you let your Ausfish friends know as much details as poss..

Hi, Didnt check Ausfish until just now.
No its not open to anyone, as its for members only. If you are interesting to try out this, you will have to give me your details in my private mail and I can let our fishing club know about it. Many thanks for asking those quizzs.

Happy fishing,

Gidday Fav,
having just moved to the GC from Bris I'm keen to get into the action.... Could you tell me where abouts WB Island the whiting hide. I put the yak in yesterday at the Ray Str ramp and paddled clockwise around WB Island (hard work against the tide at the Southern end and choppy at the northern end!!!) but no joy. The tide was going out pretty hard though. (I left the ramp at about 1pm)
Any info gratefully appreciated.

Good result. Congratulations. Something I haven't done in a long time is targeted the whiting. After seeing all the good feeds people are getting on them perhaps it is about time I went after them myself.
