G/ day all with all this windy weather around i couldnt wait any longer to wet a line so it was decided to head up into the" Far Canels " of the Gold Coast and try and pick up a feed. Picked up a heap of 23cm bream but only kept the 25+ models, also got a 50cm cod and a xos Mowie ! Had a great few hours with my brothers and the weather has no effect in these areas. PS for anyone thinking of doing the same thing we caught most fish around the council chambers area.

CHEERS RAY. Pics to follow.

G/ day Mick did this trip last sunday 2/3/08 just had to get the boat in the water, i have never been up that way before and enjoyed it a lot, Ill be ready as soon as the weather comes good for that trip we have been trying to have for 2 months >:( That was my call for the mowong (Blubber Lip) too it pulled like a train ! Had a big range of baits Sean, and also tried some rubbers ! but in the end it was the humble pillie cut to cubes that caught most fish. Took some fat juicy blood worms to nail some of those nerang river whiting but never nailed a one :( . Hey Mick im pretty keen to do some WAHOOing off Straddie just need the WX gods to give us a break !

CHEERS RAY.:D PS Will call you this week with a plan !

Certainly worth the trouble looks like a nice session with some quality there. What did the cod go in size?
