Hey all,
Had a little fish in the river last night for my first ever jewy:). caught on a pilly on the slack of the tide about 6pm and went 3.4kg. give me a bit of curry and picked him for a good squire so was wrapt when i seen this hit the surface. Finished the night with a fifty cm or so squire. Cheers Muz

Nice fish, Brisbane river I take it? - couldn't see any squire coming out of the pine at the moment.

Dirty sanchez and benno yeah land based and not far from the mouth.having some for dinner tonight hope it`s as good as the reports.
Chief..... going to hutchies on friday and plastering the brother inlaws place inbetween midnight shifts so have my plate full and have all leave passes exhausted ...... but thats this week .... next week should be sweet.

Are you sure it was only 3.4kg? the second jew i got was exactly 1m and it went 10.9kg.
Congrats on breaking the duck, now you can just call it a drought if you're not getting thme

Cheers mattooty , i only have them kitchen scales and they go to three kilo then the needle keeps goin around the clock again so to speak and went another 400 grams.

I've definately got my money on that fish being at least 4.5-5kg! But never fear, the next one you get, and you will get another, will seem monstrously fat when you weigh him =D

great first jew mate congrats!!!! just wait until you catch one around the 18-25kg mark they pull hard as Fu#%k well there first run away. and a snapper nice one
