G'day,
yeh they can be a bugger with rough seas and/or carpeted floors! ::) Three options that I know of...ranging from cheap/easy to expensice/complicated:

1. Roll up neatly into a small zip lock plastic bag (option attach to rod with rubber band). Slow to pack, can unpack fairly quick if careful.

2. Buy a length say 1.5- 2m (or length of your jig/rod) of small diameter PVC tube - "slide"/feed the jig into tube using weight of sinker to pull it down (option attach to tube to rod with rubber bands for storage) Reasonably quick to pack, can unpack fairly quick if careful.

3. Buy a dedicated "Sabiki" rod which is a special kind of tube-rod that lets you wind the jig inside automatically - available most tackle stores.

Cheers
John

i usually wrap them around a piece of cardboard or styrofoam.

junk them each use... they usually get flogged around if you are catching good livies so not worth using again.

As mentioned above, leave it on a rod dedicated to jigging bait

Thanks guys!
I've never used them before, but picked up a few different packets today to give a try. I assumed at the prices they are that they'd be relatively disposable, but also assumed I'd get more than one use/day out of them. Of course, this is assuming that we can even catch some decent livies. There's lot's of assumptions there.
Bring on the weekend!

I use option 2. It is a lot faster than rigging new from the packet. I cut some slits in the end of teh ppc.
