That's right, was very windy when Mick and I hit the wier this afternoon in search of a cod or flathead. First cast, while I was still putting my plastic on Mick gets hit at his feet by a little queenie. Great start! I chucked my little plastic on and managed a little flathead a couple of minutes later but it was relatively quiet apart from that. Started moving along the wall while mick tried the other side and hooked a small cod or two as I was walking. Mick got a follow from a diamond trev which got him excited, but no luck on getting a hit. The wind kept on unabated and the fishing was quiet so we packed it in just before sunset.

Kawana weir mate. It's on parrearra channel and that's the lock in the background of the photo. Almost identical to the one at pelican waters. Seems to be a spot that eithers fires up or is dead.
