I have had a few computer problems - so apologies that this capture is a few weeks old.

I was flicking my trusty Pumpkinseed Minnow Grub across the sand flats near Buckley's Hole when I started a tug of war with this Mama!

I had my Gary Howard Samurai 1-3KG rod, 1.8 kg firleine and 8lb leader, 1/6th 1/0 Nitro jighead - so i let the fish decide where to go most of the time. After about 10 mins of to and fro she finally let me drag her up onto the sand. After a few pics and a measure she went back with a whopping tail splash.

What a fish! - 87cm - She was quickly followed by a 28cm model (released) and eventually a 48cm - so finally I did get a feed.

Wow that one nice flatty!!!

i haven't seen any of your post lately good to see your back and reporting those good reports.
I still have no luck at buckleys. Im guessing I'm scareing them with my boat motor. I'll have to pick my tides and get waist deep in water i think.

Nice fish, What really gets me is a few of you land based anglers that consistantly pull good fish. Excellant stuff, Cheers
