hi all went for a quick flick this morning thinking the water should be clearing after all the rain weve had . got to my spotx and there was fog over the water so on went the surface lures but this morning there were only lookers and had ahuge fish push the lure away twice but not hooking up, so on went a spinnerbait and myself and a mate got a few small cod for the morning, thinking ill wait another week or so till it clears right up and it should fire up. seen the usual platypus and wild pigs as we made our way along the river theres always somthing to look at while fishing,, beats sitting at home. cheers bdowdy..brett:) sum

hi steve yeh should have there was anice sow with 3 good size suckers that would have been great on the spit...last time i was there i nearly stepped on a sleepy boar DONT KNOW IF HE OR ME GOT THE BIGGER SHOCK...cheers bdowdy.brett

Onya Brett, There is a few pigs starting to get around here again after all the rain that we have had. one about 80kg stood and looked at me for a couple of minutes , he must have known I never had a bang stick.

I'm a little bit too far away from that neck of the woods mate for it to matter to me but I lived out Nyngan way for a while and thought you may be out there, we used to see pigs nearly every time we went near the river.

Your right Brett, I dont mind reducing feral pig numbers. I dont think Mitch would be much help anymore. He sold his artillery.

He might have to get a few dogs and sharpen up that big knife once agian - just like old times.

Sounds like a good morning Brett. ITs a nice part of the country that you live in. Went thru tenterfield over xmas with the family while coming home the long way from Sydney but no time to stop.

Never caught a cod and would love to come up there one weekend and give it a go. When I do I'll PM you and you might be able to set me straight on some popular spots - not necessarily secret ones.

cant do everything ,fish and hunt .I put the shooting in second place, if I get spare time now the rod comes out first, think Im getting soft, bit hard to release a well shot feral. Anyway nice fish mate ,
