It's all lies. The REAL truth is that the owner of the Pajero was assisting this poor bugger that needed a jump start. ;D

Slander Slander!!!!!
Lies, Lies, Lies.
What a setup!!!!
At least if I wanted to get back at someone, I would be able to open their bonnet, when they were not around, without asking for help with how to open it.
Is the Pajero bonnet catch broken and opens real easy from all the use it gets.;D ;D ;D ;D
Now the truth comes out!!!!

Yeah so I had trouble finding the bonnet catch. It happens when one is used to driving quality vehicles all his life and never had a Nissan. :-X ;D You have to admit I caught you by surprise.;) I did real good at sneaking the shot in. As for ease of opening a bonnet the Pajero has great bonnet catch placement.:) You're just jealous that I have a car that has nearly reached 400,000klms and is still on the original motor, not blowing any smoke, no oil leaks, uses half the amount of fuel (did the entire trip and home again on 1/4 of a 70 litre tank), still has the original gearbox, and still goes well. ;) The only time the bonnet is up normally is during oil changes and belt changes. Maybe I should think about changing the spark plugs. They have 200,000klms up on them. Lol

But once a Nissan driver has his bonnet up, they tried to make everything much easier and colour coded everything ...... Yellow means there is likely to be amber fluid in there ( something Nissan drivers are familiar with), and that's where you add water. Red means whatever you do, don't touch this!!;D ;D And they don't put part numbers on anything anymore, they had too many people ask what part 710 meant.!!!!;D ;D

Regardless of all of the lies and slander, it was good to have you and the crew join us yesterday.
The Pajero did you proud again.
Graham.

Lol Scalem. That's classic. Now that we have got the jokes and slandering out of the system here is a little bit about the day out. I was invited by Graham and the Qld. Nissan Patrol 4wd Club to tag along for a scenic drive to O'Rielly's. Sounded like a nice day out and having been confined to the house a lot over the last few weeks I decided it would be great to meet up with them and meet some new faces. They are a great bunch of people so a pleasurable day was had. We met at the Golden Arches at Beaudesert at 8:30am with the plan to be on the road by 9:00am. Some highlights of the day included the scenery, the drive, flowing creeks that have been dry for so long, and wildlife. While I am on the topic of wildlife I thought I would share this little story for any other parents out there especially who have young boys that love climbing.
We stopped at a lookout to take some photos (and also to rest the tired Nissans):-X and while I was taking some shots my son Kyle decided to attempt a tree climb. There was a hole in the side of the tree which would have made a good placement hole to put a hand or foot in to help boost up. He was about to shove a hand in but for some reason changed his mind and decided to look in the hole first. Lucky he did because he found this in there.

I think it was a small Chidren's or Spotted Python but the only photos online I can find similar are all adult pics and I know they change in appearance with age. Don't think it was venomous but it is always best to err on the side of caution just in case. We continued up the climb and enjoyed more scenery until we eventually ended up back on the bitumen and headed up to O'Rielly's where refreshments were enjoyed and some of us went on the treetop walk. The treetop walk was so much fun the kids had to do it again so the four kids who attended including mind went around the walk again whilst the parents waited at the end of the treetop walk for them to come back. Whilst standing and chatting my wife's attention was suddenly diverted. We had a visitor appear out of the bushes from nowhere.

I didn't have to look this one up on the net to identify it. It was kind of very obvious that it was a red bellied black snake. We stayed well clear of it and made sure we alerted anyone else that came from the treetop walk to walk around it.
Once we got back to the guest houses we had some more chatting and refreshments before hopping in the cars again and proceeded back down the track to a large park where we had a picnic lunch and let the kids get themselves wet in the flowing creek. The cooling off was well appreciated by the children. From there it was time to head back home with some light banter along the way over the UHF radios. Thanks for the day out guys. Here are some more photos taken on the day.

Well you are right. Identified it as a Stephen's Banded Snake. They are venomous and the anti-venom that is used for them is Tiger Snake anti-venom. They are in fact a quite rare snake and considered endangered. Apparently nocturnal and hunt for frogs, small mammals, and lizards. Here is a link. http://lamington.nrsm.uq.edu.au/Documents/Rept/stev.htm
