navman 4380 gps screen freezing up

g'day all
I have a problem with my gps, it is a navman 4380 colour with a cmax card.
The screen intermittently keeps freezing up, all the buttons stop working, you cant even turn it off via the button you must remove the power cable.
The unit has been back to the manufacturer and was returned with "no fault detected".
Does anyone have any advice?

Have you checked all connections for corrosion?

thanks for your help dave,
i have double checked all the connections and took voltage measurements, it all appears to be fine and have rerun all the cables so that they are clear of any interference.
the problem still persists.

at the end of the day, with the help of the retailer, the gps unit and the card were replaced. so far so good, it works fine, perhaps it was just a dud unit.
