took the boat down to the tweed to visit the oldies who are on hols at the moment. took the old man out on sat, launching off kennedy dr around 7ish. the plan was to throw lures around for a while, but with the old boy still stuck in a time warp, he pulled out the 'trusty' old alvey and insisted we anchor up and fish with the prawns he had brought::) tried a few spots, and landed a couple of nice whiting and bream. with the wind blowing like it was, we were limited to a few protected spots, but its good to see the old boy havin a bit of fun, and also giving back to him for all the lessons he gave me as a kid!
On sunday, i dragged the whole family out of bed at 7 (after a big night) for a morning on the water. after sorting out fishing licences etc, we lanched at the same spot, all 5 of us, mum, dad, sister, girlfriend and me and we were off. sqiud and prawns were the go and we found a few places out of the wind. well you could of mistaken my boat for a charter, with all the baiting, fish removal, re-rigging and general tour guide!::) had a good time though with plenty of (albiet) undersized fished getting hooked and released and smiles all round.
my poor girlfriend was a bit lost though, she's been used to reeling in 50cm+ squire in the bay lately, so 23cm bream were a little lackluster for her:P
might post pics up later, but im sure we have all seen a small bream before!! plenty of fish around for not a lot of effort but.!

p.s: water clarity was better than what had expected. might be on the improve
