Hi guys
I'm in the market for a side console & heres where the question begin , so many to choose from !
I like the mako Frenzy , trailcraft profish, Stacer nomad mp & Blue fin !
The boats main purpose will be open bay, so i'm looking at a four stroke & boat lenght of 4.7 - 5.0 m ..........
Any advice on type & performances would be greatly appreciated.

Me, personally, if you discount plate and only talk about mass produced tinnys:
Trailcraft (overall) probably better offshore, deep sides, self draining floor, good ride, build quality, etc.,
then tough choice between Quintrex/Stacer for ride and Seajay or Savage for build quality.
The rest of the brands are pretty equal in my eyes from then on.
Can't stretch to a Stabi Frontier or similar tube boat? Vertico from on here loves his and has it at the Hards and Banks all the time off Mooloolaba.
I know I went around to Curtis Island via the open sea in a 4.3 Tiller Steer Quinny Top Ender with the Millenium sort of bottom and did it easier and drier than a 4.5 side console Bluefin I think it was that was showing us the way up through the Gladstone Narrows and across the bar. The guy that sold the 4.3 to my mate upgraded to a Phantom based on bang for your buck. He transferred to Townsville and hated it up there. Wet as. He ended up buying a 5.0m or maybe even bigger Quinny Top Ender side console as soon as he got a chance and was much happier. He regretted selling the 4.3 pretty much.
There is never much negative about the Trailcrafts. They seem to keep their noses pretty clean. They seem to be more expensive than the rest but maybe that is deserved. You pay for what you get! Who ever invented that phrase probably had boats of all makes and brands in mind.

Tough choice, if only my funds were unlimited !!! I'd love a new trailcraft, but i know of a Blue Fin Cobia 5.M for sale with all the bell & whistles for 30 grand & its a year old ???? I've got a month to decide so all of your advice is greatly appreciated !!

Mark I have fished alongside 5.0m G.S Marine Extreme's off the coast from Dundee here in the NT. The boats go well up here and come in a myriad of configurations. They are plate and come with a lot of basis options which others leave out.. I know they are being sold on the east cost now.

Mark they do make a tournament boat, but they also make side, rear centre console and bowrider styles. I've got a 5.50m rear centre and its the ducks nuts up here in the NT.
I use it for Barra fishing and reef fishing. I've chased down mack tuna with it no problems. It rides pretty good and has storage up the ying yang as standard. Its not a deep V boat bit it pushes into a swell pretty well up here

Hi Mark,
Great choice of boat, I have a 540 Pro Fish that is 3 weeks away from its 1st birthday. Cant beat the openess when fishing. Very fuel efficiant (115 4st Yammy)
Ill be selling it shortly to upgrade to something bigger.
Good luck and good choice.
