hi guys getting a new transom put on my boat shes 5.2 mtr thinking about puting a pod on the back what are the advantages of putting 1 on and what are the disadvantages any thoughts

The advantages are you get all that space freed up that the well takes up and you get a safer boat cause the waves won't fill the well up and make the bum heavy.Also some boats have the wrong transom angle this can be fixed with a custom job.Anyway if your getting a transom fitted it's too late to get a pod:P ........jim.

thanks jimbo i still havnt got the transom on as yet and he said he will be able to make the transom and pod a 1 piece
