Not sure if it's the recent rain, or just the time of year but the Pikey Bream are on the bite. We have picked up a few nice fish recently.

We have fished the runout tide, late morning with the humble frozen prawn as bait.

Gday mate nice fish, thats not a pikey bream your holding I forget the name but some one will tell you on here.

or Slate Bream, Mother in-law fish. Bleed them and they are not bad on the tooth

I thought Morwong had a forked tail?

A bit more looking around, and Slate Bream seems to be the correct ID. Good fun on the light outfit.
