1st Barra for 2008

Went down to my favourite spot and fished from 5am - 8am. Put 2 lines out one with herring (dead) and one with Mullet(dead). Not a lot happening for the 1st hour. Eventually the rod bent over and that sweet screaming sound got my attention. A big strike and the trusty 4/0 octopus circle was set. A few jumps and a few runs later I had my first for 2008..................a god looking 90cm salty.

lets hope there is more to come...............OH what a feeling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were trolling the outside of the marina wall - would've come over to say g'day but, there were so many fishos on the rocks, we couldn't make it with all of the lines.
