Fished Peel At Spit With Mate From First Light Today, Watching Black Sky On Mainland...wow. First Bait ...1 Legal Squire (head )to Me .(dohhh). 2nd Bait ,fish On, Then Big Run And Bust Off To Mate. " I Know What Is Going To Happen Today " I Say. 3 Rd,bait 1 Legal Sweety To Me.next,mate Gets Hammerd By Unstopable (shark?). At Same Time I Bag 55cm Squire (not Snapper!!! ...no Bump).mate Getting Realy Cheesed.next ,2 More Fish On Then Huge Runs To Mate And Bust Offs(sharks!?! Not Happy Pam!!).by Now Its Well Day Light.next,mate Gets A 33cm Squire To Back Of Boat ,then...s#@t... Large!! Thing (shark ) Comes Straight Up From Deep To Back Of Boat And Goes Fish Just As Mate Lifts Up Squire.squire Well And Truely Lascerated, And Released.moved Twice But No Bites So Went Back. Mate Gets A Sweety ,(yessss, Happy Skipper). Another Smallish Squire To Back Of Boat And Big!!old Mate Comes Flying Up Again...aarrrrgg. We Move In Closer To Peel.1 Squire , 2 Sweetlip And 1 Taylor To Skipper,now Happy.weater Closes In So We Call It Quits.
Ps. Keepers Eaten Just Now...perfect.
Pps.makes A Difference To Feeding The Dolphins At Harries.

hope you released the head of that 33cm squire to grow another few cm would not want to get caught with an under sized head lol

hi all,
yes ,head released unharmed.
shark about 8 -9foot long easy.mabey bull shark but i dont realy know.
glad i was in 5 1/2 meter glassy.

Fun Session SNAFU !!

Plenty of action !! Glad the 55cm Squirey didn't get sharked.

What's happening with the MACKEREL ?
Any sign of spotties or schoolies in the bay ?

That would have been a great feed and a good session fishin, Pity bought the sharks although they do make things exciting

just tried a reply and computer did a spaz attack. so here goes again.
yes it was good fun. was out with hodgie (phill's mate) in his boat. as for mackies ...if they dont show in next 2 weeks it might not happen this year...noooooo!!!, last time i did a trip to usual spots there was minor bird action but no show with mackies.water still too dirty. i will try again asap, hopefully on this current run in tide in morning as they dont usualy DO it on run down tides. last year i was still getting them in may just east of saint, but only on floating pillies drifted into schools as they came past. watch this space.
