hi to all, iam heading to townsville for work for a week or so as i cant take my boat i was wondering if some one could point me in the the direction of some good land based spots to start.would also like to thank local guy for shown me round yepoon.although the weather wasnt in our favour it was much appreciated.cheers bigred:)

Try around the rockwalls anywhere from the casino/breakwater to around the rockpool area. The strand fishing jetty can fire occasionally

on top of those, you've got the northern beaches, palleranda, rowes bay, rooney's bridge, Bowen bridge, the weirs, or even a little further north you've got some fresh creeks where sooties, jps etc reside.
