Hello, Today I went fishing at the Port of Brisbane, behing the BP. Today I decided to go for a fish not far from home, so I went to Woolworths got $5.00 worth of Green Prawns ( FAR TO MANY!!! ).
I made a Rig on my line, then put half a Green Prawn ( peeled ) on my line then casted it out. First couple of casts I got some ferocious bites which I think were Whiting and small Bream. A couple of casts later I got an average bite, the fish then swallowed the hook I pulled the rod tip back ( I was on ), the fish came to the surface and it was a nice bream that measured at 24.6cm no photo. The wind then picked up a little quicker so I couldn't cast where I wanted >:( , so the hook dropped a few metres short. Bites Bites Bites, the fish swallows! Im on to another Breambo I presumed. YEP another nice Bream that fell short of legel at 23.0 cm, it measured in at 21.5cm. The wind then carried on becoming faster and faster so I packed up and headed home ;). All the fish were released in prime condition. Also I ended up with some Prawns for the next trip to Straddie on the weekend.
Cheers Tom :-X
P.S. Here is a picture of the 21.5cm Breambo.
