Gday all,
With such awesome weather yesterday 21st , i just had to go fishin. Hit the water gentlemans hours bout 9am in search of a few lizards. Been fishin a bit lately, but never seem to be able to bag anymore than 1 keeper in a session so i was on a mission to change that. Ive been having most luck lately using 5" jerk shads in pink shine, so i cant go past them at the moment. Coulnt raise a hit in the first few hours until the last of the run out at about 1pm, i caught a nice flattie goin 51cm u beauty, now for another one, kept working the same bank and 10 minlater I pulled in another a bit smaller than the first 1. Good stuff!!. Nearly ready to called it a day when WHACK!!! im on. After a couple of decent runs i called it a snodger lizard. A few tense mins later a pops a massive flattie. I was by myself so now was the hard part landing this awesome fish. After a few attempts she was in the net but as i went to lift her out of the water she falls straight through the bottom of the net F@#$#%$ and shes off again. So now with the line running through the net i pop her back to the surface and this time had to just tangle her in the net and bring her in. This worked suprisingly, and she come aboard PHEW. An awesome lizard measureing 78cm. Got a quik photo with my phone and sent her on her way, WOW that was epic. Spewing i couldnt get a good photo cause couldnt hold her up and take a photo a the same time. So i must go shopping for a new landing net, my own camera and a brag mat so i can share some photos with yas. That was enough exitement for me for one day so packed up and headed home. By far the best day on plastics yet, actually on bait as well for that matter. Im well and truely loving plastics!!!

well done good to hear a 70 plus flatty being caught in the passage.
have you tried dropping your plastic size down to say 3-4". I seem to do better with those sizes rather than the 5" ones.
