Knocked off early today and went for a solo run over to macleay is. Wanted to get into a few more fish on the surface but conregated weed made it hard.

The ecogear ck40 got a fair work out today bashing rocks and coral and came up with a few average bream and some stubbon cod that wraped me around everything they could find. Surprised how good the 4lb leader held with fish attached and running me under bommies and getting them out again. One cod took me about 5 mins to land after untangling my line from half the reef he ran me around.

I also had a first for me today, wobbygong on a hard body. I got a solid hit and felt heaps of wieght but it fought like a wet sheet. Bit dissapointing for the size of him. he didnt even take any drag from the gek loaded with 3lb crystal.

Again all the fish were takin in 1-2ft of water and i took some pics of some of the territory today. Good fun on light gear with fish trying to punish you staight into every hidy hole they can find.

Cheers Whytey

Might be the start of a new craze

Wobbies on wobblers;D

It will be a race to see if Ian Miller or Eric come up with the definitive rod for the new rage and Shimano and Diawa will be at the research centres adding a few more bearings to their prototype Wonder Wobby Whackers ;)

The wooby looks like its asleep on your deck lol. Cod cod and more cod. Sometimes its good catchen em when theres nothing around especially if you get pulled under reefy rocks. Nice to see yah trying new areas. Yah not hitting that leccy on those lumpy rocks i hope. I still havnt picked up my deep cycle battery for mine yet but cant wait to see an improvement on my hits.
