hi guys looked out the window this moring at 4am and seen no wind so up i jump hook the boat up and off i go fueld her all up got my bait launched at clontarf ramp and at mud by 5am to be greeted by plenty of boats set up drift on the southern end and baited my first rod and threw her and let it sit in the rod holder while i rigged my bottom basher next minute on the first rod i baited zzzzzzzzzz to look up and see my rod shoot out of the rod holder and in the drink and way it goes at a great speed and looking around for my rod it pops to the surface fish must of spat the hooks thank god fired up the etec and rounded up my rod that was 50 metres from when it got taken .
any way great day out there managed a good feeed .
2 decent sweet lip
and three really nice size squire ;D

geez that was lucky with the rod, would been good to see what it was that took it though, what bait were you using?

shane was that you back at clontarf ramp this morning about 9am looked like the boat in you avatar at the ramp when i went for a cruise down had an e/tec on it

hi boys the bait i was using were pillys and squid yeah captain i was only using a light outfit which was a power tip set up the only part floating was the butt of the rod robersl that would of been me mate got the little sixty etec what type of boat were you in ?

shane i followed you out of the car park in a green falcon and up anzac ave i just went to the ramp for a sticky after doing the oldies lawn

Congrats on the feed pursuit001.
Also a bit of good luck getting the rod back - never fun to lose a rod.
hopefully the weather has now turned for the better for a while and we can all get in some trips.
Good to hear a few fish being caught at mud again - had been fairly quiet for a while.

I think I saw u out there too shane, but wasnt on the sth side.
Lucky with the rod!
Whilst killing the young girls catch I had my rod in the rod holder too, it got hooked up, but luckily stayed in the holder. All that was left to do was to wind in the squire :)

oh ok mate didnt see no falcon was still in la la land picturing the rod still shooting over the side yeah its good there ae a few fish showing up again alot of very small stuff out there though which side do yous all fish off on mud ?hamish73 what type of rig were you in ?

we were tghe 1st boat there, anchored near the cardinal mark, not far from the morred sailing boat
