Hey there everyone, took the boat out today and thanks to Seabreeze forecasts being wrong found myself in extremely rough conditions. Unfortunately one of my rods (3-6kg Penn Powerstick) found its way between the side of the boat and a moving esky and the result was the bottom Fuji guide getting broken. I know how to do a quick replacement of the line guide however my skills are far from being good enough to get a finish to match the rest of the rod which is a lovely finish. This rod is responsible for my PB snapper in the bay at 73cms and I would love to get it repaired without looking like crap. I know some of you out there are very good at rod binding etc. If anyone can help me I would love to hear from you and yes I am happy to pay for the job.

Regards,

Poodroo

Hey Poodroo, sorry to here about your dilema.
I did the same thing with a rod of mine about 6 months ago, so took it into a local tackle shop to get repaired thinking i would be up for some serious coin but the repair only cost me $10 and that was with a quality guide and when i picked up the rod and it looked like original like it had never been damaged.

Gee and here I was thinking it was going to set me back at least a carton of grog. Thanks for the advice.
