Gday everyone
just a quick report from Iluka , We've been here a week and had 3 good days of weather , raining the rest of the time.
Lots of fresh in the river and its very "black" as they say locally. the walls( ocean side) and headlands are producing when the wind backs off, Ive seen lots of big bream and whiting caught, and got a few myself, also got connected to 5 small( about a metre) sharks while chaseing mr jew but got cut off every time. Ive heard reports of jew up to 23kg coming in also.
the fishing is a bit tough as the water is full of grass and other rubbish.I had my first go at kayak fishing yesterday,, no result.
I may not respond to any replies to this as i only drop in tto the internet every couple of days to check whats going on at work ( The joys of being a small business owner):(
Anyway ill post a report again in a couple of days, or if I nail a big one.

Biggest jew from iluka in the last week were 3 28kg fish taken on 3 succesive nights. Solid fish, short and VERY fat!
Sharks are in plague proportions, swimming in under a foot of water mostly.

shame about the weather, but it'll be good to get a jew that size man what a fight one of those would put up, anyway keep on trying
