Borumba Rising? ? ?

Hey, yesterday arvo i heard that Borumba had risen upto 50% which was about 2m of inflow into the dam.

I only went there on the 28th december and it had risen then, so i was just wondering if what i was told was true or not?

If it has is all the water filthy and are the fish off the bite?

Don't know about the fishing but as of yesterday water level was at 59% and still rising.

When did all the rain happen?

was there sunday, dam has definitely risen a few metres. we've got more rain about the sunnie coast now so hopefully its falling in the borumba catchment. water didn't seem particularly dirty but there was lots of crap floating around on the surface, had to dodge a few logs on the way up into the sticks....

fished there tues and yesterday, water is suprisingly clean. great surface action up Borumba creek, where water has risen up over tall grass. Good bass and toga's were on fire. First hr after dawn had 13 strikes, landed 2 toga 1 bass. Small poppers.` Great little session.

ethan1, crickey thats a great little session up there indeed. did you continue to fish after the morning session? did you land any more?

Herby13, it went quiet until about 9am, then we caught 3 more bass fishing along the grassy edge with spinner baits. Real rainy and gusty made things a bit tough. Found a Big school of bait so we work the edges and it paid off. The 'Anthrax ' lure from mega bass was a big hit, has a great action, the toga love them. At $40 a pop you would hope so. also caught 3 yellas all in one spot.
