started the day off by treating myself to a towadi in color 04(anyone know if this color is good or not? i just grabbed what i thought the prettiest) and some sunline fc rock 8lb fluro. Should this be okay for a range of common estuary species or should i maybe grab some 4lb or something also to cover a couple more bases??...bream in particular.
Anyway the tackle shop bloke gave me a good yarn that the bli bli barra park lost 80% of its barra over the wall in the recent rains and that theres some good catches of barra going on around petrie creek atm; dont think im at the stage of being capable to go chasing these beasts yet myself but to those of you who are thought that might be interesting news.
After that off to manly yacht club for an hour flik or so, had a couple of missed bites, but the misses caught here first ever fish being a moses of 26cm and the first legal fish of the household which i wont live down.

Jarred up by the missus hey Yanjarra. this sort of thing happens when you take the missus fishing , their nothing but bad luck, better to leave em at home if possible. Hang on a sec my missus is calling me "Whats that honey, yeh we gunna leave at 4am to go fishing unless thats to early for you.OK honey we will leave at 11" .

yes mine has outdone me the last two trips ;). She caught the 2 biggest both times; but then my excuse is that I have to keep unbaiting her fish for her :). Shes very modest about it except every so often the little dig comes out grrrrrrrr ;).

my missus reads books and like sunsets on rocky headlands :D:D:D:D:D
gives me plenty of time to throw a couple of lures around off the rocks....wwooops...i mean spend summer sunsets with my lovely lady!
Quite often with success.......in many ways:D:D:D:D
Great girl....and she appreciates the fact i love my fishing more than her :O ...i did tell her that me n fishin have been datin for 18yrs before we got serious about things...so what more can i say?

Yanjarra,
You can never have too many leader options. For the towadi's you should try using mono because it floats and gives better action to your surface lures. 4lb Yamatoyo fighter is nice mono.
By the way, my missus dosn't like fishing but she likes buying me pink lures!
