Went out last night for a quick session at Mud. Hadn't been out there for ages so did not know how it was producing. Lots of undersize to keep me busy, and managed 4 keepers between 35 - 40cm, so was happy enough with that as I only had left over frozen bait from previous trip.

But the reason for this thread was what I saw when I got there. This is a commercial boat and to the right of the screen are 4 tenders. Not the greatest pictures as they are from my phone. This is the south side of Mud. The other side of the rock wall where the boat is is like a very shallow bay that completely drains at low tide. I think he must have come in from the left where the opening is, got up to the right near the tenders current location, realised he was screwed and tried to get out before running out of water.

Better add a (very poor quality) picture of the catch. Nothing much, but at least it is fresh fish for dinner tonight.

;D ;D ;D

Great photo of the commercial boat. ;D ;D ;D

I see that boat and the tenders out there quite a lot at night - usually around that south east corner. You would think that he would know better. Maybe the apprentice was driving yesterday. ;D ;D ;D

BTW, that looks like a pretty reasonable grassie for Mud. Well done! :)

'Tis always nice to get a feed. I have just had to put up with fat juicy crab sandwiches for lunch after my trip around the bay yesterday. Life is tough, isn't it? ;D

Thanks for sharing that picture. Fantastic! ;D
