Hey all,
I spent the last week at Marcoola on the Sunshine coast and the plan was to chase some bream and maybe a Jack around the local rivers and creeks. However my plan was drastically altered with the rain and huge winds makeing me only be able to have short sessions at a time. So the first day i ventured down to the maroochy in search of some bream under a bridge, however the spot plagued with small flatties all around 30cm. Every time my gulp! shrimp was in the water the little flatties ravaged it. The next day i went to underwater world as the weather was crap. The day after i decided to try for some bream around Noosa but in a short session i was only rewareded tiny bream the biggest going 24cm>:( , they were all caught on 3inch power minnows of various colours. The next day i fished some moored boats around the coast and finally got onto some bigger bream. All 30cm or around that. Most fish that day were caught on power minnows and pro range flick baits. I have tried with various hard bodied lure but just do not get the same results. Around the moored boats and trawlers i used 1/16th as there was quite a bit of run on some of the days. I did manage to beat my small Pb bream of 30cm with a 30.2 cm bream ;D Not huge fish but i havent' been chasing them for long but will hopefully be beating that soon enough. Well that's pretty much the trip most sessions were aout 3hrs long and i scored anything from 3- to 8 bream in the seshes.
