Awoonga Morning Fish

No report from me for a while....So here goes. On the water 0430...Fishing weed beds using 130mm Squidges the Red and green ones... First morning fish for a while....First hour nothing......Same....Hour two....Getting out of bed early for this !....First fish comes at 645am..just a little tacker about 550mm. About 5 min later its his brother...maybe a bit bigger but not much... .Things are starting to heat up ... Water temp up to 29c...Lets try a frog ?..Now l cut the ears of my frogs.. less to pull through the water...First cast...Bang....This fish had about five goes....Just no hookups... So for the next 10 minutes l through this frog...every time it landed on the water it got hit .. l could be wrong here but l think they where Catfish...Anyway...Back to the slickrig.... Keep working those weedbeds..As close as you can to the weed....Two in two casts... Thats a bit better. But no big fish all about the same size...Biggest fish for the morning was 800mm all hooked in the corner of there mouth...eight fish was the total...No photos..l dont take the fish out of the water...all released ..hoping they make it to the meter + size

trev least you landed a couple mate a lot of people this week have spent a lot of time on the water for little results we had a ball shaz with her pb and mine as well your local knowledge would have been great to save us zipping all over the dam hope to catch up with you in one of the comps soon cheers AL

river to sea...Then cut the "ears" off.....There is a river to sea one without then but its been nil stock....So l just modify the ones that l can get
