with the tweed (freshwater) being choked with weed making it hard to get a lure to swim, this rain is the best thing as it will clear most of it out. the same thing happened in 2006 in june i think it made the fishing fantastic. once the rain stops (that's what Noah said) and the water clears this spot will go off.

Hey Jamie, I want to head to m-bah on the weekend. How to do thing it will be fishing? Does the rain turn them off? Is there much debris in the river? Have you heard if it's flowing over the wall at Clarie Hall? Fishing the pools below can be fun.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers Kim.

hey Kim, i like the fact that you want to go fishing with this weather. i wouldn't bother with the river, i've fished it a few times, when it is running brown and have learnt my lesson (don't go ! ). go to clarrie hall, i fished there 2 weeks ago and it was good. when there is lots of rain it doesn't seem to turn off the fish in the dam but the river seems to shut down
good luck

I had my best bass session in the poring rain when is was thundering over the wall at Clarie. We can't go to the dam, need to get a smaller boat and lecci. Do you walk the creek below the wall? At least the snakes won't be out in this weather. Bloody leaches will though (my two pet hates).
Thanks for the info,
Cheers Kim.

Hi Jamie, pity you don't have those frogs still, they work well through weeds espec. in this weather. I caught my first fish on one today, A mangrove Jack.
