Fished the top/runout tide for about 4 hours in the rain, on New Year's eve. Landbased and caught a few small whiting, bream and moses perch. Wife lost a very good flathead. Two whiting were taken home, bro-in-law (38cm, on a peeled prawn) and my youngest daughter (39cm, on a sand worm). Forgot the camera again. Couldn't believe the size of the whiting. I've only seen that sort of fish in the surf.
Tried the Glup sandworm (blood colour) but not a touch.
Might have to make more trips up that way, but leave the Glups at the shop.
Cheers.;D

Sorry, gave them to my Bro-in-law:'( . Abbot_86, do you fish them like normal worms or do you do the flick and wind? I have caught Dart with them, but Dart will bite on anything moving. Cheers.

i did pick a pack of the sand worm gulps up somewear along the line and have used them a couple of times trying to get a elbow slapper whitting but only managed a few small bream, but i have heard of people catching whiting on em b4. what ya do is you make a rig similar to a stinger rig used offshore , first tie a lightest of light jig head(depending on run etc) to you leader and then from the jig head take aprox 8cm of leader material to an other worm hook or similar hook so you end up with a sort of stinger rig. then rig about 10-12 cm of gulp worm to these two hooks so it lays out flat, cast out and i only wound very slowly ,like once every 30 secs hope this helps, nick..;D
