Well today me and a mate decided to ignore the wether and go down to tweed to see if we could entice some bream. We got there at 7.15am and the day started well for my mate who immediatley has his 2" Gulp! Shrimp squaffed by a little lizard going around 30cm. A good start to the day for hi but not for me as i was rerigging from a stray cast were i lost a Sx40. Next cast the call is made again "Yep" and in comes a better flattie at 42cm. Finally im rigged adn ready to go so on i put the smae plastics that he was using and mmeditley some thing smacks me under the pylon i cast at. After a 2minute fight which consisted of many nervous time i bring in a nice cod of 35cm. I don't know how it didn't snap me on 4lb Vanish. Again from the boat Justin is fishing i hear the call yep, but this fish has more grunt and doesn't stop running , i bit of tightening on the drag and under the boat this fish is goingthan twang! he get's snapped clean, Maybe a big bream maybe a jack??? or another cod.. Any way i continue fishing some moored boats and suddenly my Powerbait is sucked into a big bream slowly tiring this big fellow and than he decided to go for one last run and Twang! again another bust off. So we move to the trawlers and again i am smashed and on again until yep you guessed im snapped off. Now this definatley isn't a case of not using enough drag. So after i rerigged we get some chips and have a flick at the same time. I caught this annoying little butter bream or Sweep on a minnow, i didn't know they took placcies??? So after that we go and fish the creeks and manage some smaller bream on Squidgey pro Critters. The rain kicked in so we pulled the pin.
