hi all
i have had a problem with the fuel primer pump on a GU patrol, it tends to suck the primer pump right down till it stops the fuel flow altogeather, at first i thought there was a blockage in the line, but then i joined the fuel line without the the filter set up and no probs, so now i think that i must of done a seal or something in the primer pump, can they be repaired? or just get a new one? i have had diesels for many many years and never heard or come across this problem

cheers

Daz I dunno but could that happen when the filter has a major blockage?

Hi Scott
that was my first thought, took it off and drained it in a bowl and was very clean ( the filter is only 300ks old) not that this means anything as i have had a bad dose of fuel not long ago

Ok, I guess it would all depend on whether the primer sucks fuel after the filter or pushes fuel from before the filter.

Interested to hear what you come up with Daz when you have it sorted.
