Took Rob7 out for a spin on the bay, to a productive patch of water north of peel Is on Saturday morning for a quick lesson in the fine art of catching cobes.
Being the considerate host that I am, Rob7 got the first drop of the morning - so he pinned up a monster grinner and dropped it down.
Now Rob7's a bit of a guru at finding big cobes so expectations were high.
Sure enought, 5 minutes later that grinner ;Dgot nervous and he's hanging on to a locked up TLD25 and losing line!! :o .
30 minutes of serious pump and wind saw a nice little cobe in the boat.
This beastie tipped the scales at a neat 30kg (bled).
Barely got another bite all day but the weather was tops and we had a pretty good morning on the water.
