I did this 'how to' up for a mate who is fairly clueless with anything mechanical but good at following instructions.
Would some of you knowledgeable types have a bit of a read and comment on accuracy and such - I don't want to steer him foul.
Any reccomendations for improvements welcome.
Cheers.

The article is pretty good. Not much to criticize.
And you actually look like a pig. ;)

Great piece of work, thatpig, tho' I would omit the wd40 on the rod guides, warm soapy water is a better solution IMO.
Cheers.

Thanks fella's. I had a lovely assistant to hold the camera and NO your not getting pics of her.
The WD40 on the rod guides is a good call. I usually just wash off the good ones. This ones half way to buggered though. $15 dollar extendable that I've had for 3 years. cheap shitty chrome.
On that note, I have had two guides rust out in the last couple of months. One was a fuji on a daiwa procaster - i am taking that one back to the shop, the other on a silstar baitcaster that has been a bloody brilliant rod for a long time now. Any tips on something I could use on them to prevent that?
