Thanks guys,it`s my first in the river i have caught them in weipa but not as big and not on lures.Port security pulled up just as she was boated, maybe that is where the fisheries got the info.we were fishing the lower reaches of the river in fairly deep water.Iam new 2 ausfish and i am having a few troubles posting the photos.I also have some shots of the fish i saw caught yesterdy so i will keep trying, cheers.

Great fish

Are they common this far south ? I always thought they preferred the warmer rivers to the north?

I think there are a couple of diferent spicies, dug.

How about some tackle details.

I think if this sort of thing keeps up some blokes might have to install cranes on their boats;D

cheers
