Can't be bothered writing a blow for blow report, i'm sure you guys know what its all about by now anyway. Scored 4 fish over 2 1/2 days fishing going 85 90 95 and 111cm. Lots of catties and a few brickings, i had one fish snap the polycarbonate bib clean on strike on a rapala barra mag, anyone ever had this happen? Wasted a bit of time bouncing slick rigs, a few bumps and drops but couldn't keep the hooks in anything for more than a few seconds. Heres the pics

Yep i finally got a jump shot, i've been trying for ages but typically i only had the dig on medium res so i can't zoom right in but it makes a pretty good perspective shot so i'm happy. The fish in the sticks jumped heaps but we were more concerned about keeping them out of the timber so the camera didn't make it out until they were in the boat

How good is that place becoming, great to hear all the reports. Whatever they are doing in stocking and looking after this place is working.

A magnificent fishery that's for sure.

top stuff jeremy, i'll be up there next weekend can't wait...

re barra magnums, they are notoriously weak in the bib area. i've gone through heaps of 'em! my local shop replaced a few but gave up as it aint gonna stop! real shame as they are a top lure on barra, have been a real proven fish raiser for us time and again. i no longer use them in the impoundments because of the risk of popping a bib, but still use them alot on my wild barra forays...

Bugger as i suspected. they really are great lures it seems such a shame to have them break like that
