Some readers may be interested in this ...
Given the amount of fishing that I do, I should really buy bulk quantities of IQF pillies but laziness dictates that I usually just buy a 2 kg bag of IQF pillies on the way to the boat ramp. A expensive way to buy them, I know......but.....
Terry's Bait has been running a promotion with their 2 kg boxes of IQF pillies wherein they include a Rapala bait knife. I did not think that these would be worth much to me because I usually just use el cheapo stainless steel knives from Crazy Clarks for $1.50 or $2 that serve me well on the boat and I don't lose sleep when I knock one overboard.
However, I have now obtained a couple of these knives through the Terry's promotion and they are pretty good little knives - very sharp, stout 4 inch blades with a serated top edge for scaling, good handles and a positive locking sheath. Not cheap bait at $15 for a 2 kg box but the addition of the knife helps ...
