I was on the way to work this morn around nudgee rd and i think i know who is responsible for a lot of the crap that gets washed into the river and bay. It's our very own council.
The amount of rubbish that is at the side of the road after the garbo's have been through is astounding.
Poor design of the trucks obviously. Poor form B.C.C very poor form.
Dave.

yeah but don't worry
the bay will now be "protected".
habitat won't be destroyed by pollution and all of the fish will survive because we are going to get green zones :furious2: :furious2:
cheers

So I'm not the only one that has to pick up rubbish after the garbo has done his rounds.

Don't get me started, the company next door to me is like that, they have those huge dumpsters and the truck pulls up twice a week, makes a hell of a lot of noise, then leaves, with half the shit hanging out the top of the truck !! Whats more amazing is there is a hydraulically operated flap on the top which he could close, but doesn't because it means he can empty the next bin up the road a bit quicker. :-/
Mind you, there is also a public transfer station (we used to call them tips, but anyway) down at Nudgee, and on a weekend you will see dozens of cars heading that way with semi secured loads so its not all BCC (IMO)
You oughta try riding behind one of them on a motorbike :P
