Hi folks,
Today I went to look at the Shimano T-Curve 6-10kg Barra Rod and ended up putting a Loomis CR724 GL2 6-10kg on Lay-buy. It was only $20 more that the T-Curve and it felt a bit lighter and appeared to have a bit faster taper IMHO. I plan to use it as a casting rod for Lake Monduran matched to a Curado 301 reel.
Can any one advise me of the suitability of the CR724 GL2 for use as a casting rod in the sticks at Lake Mounduran? Or am I better off with the T-Curve?
I've only had 4 days fishing at Lake Monduran, but have caught the Impoundment Barra disease in a bad way. When I got back in March, I plan to stay for two weeks and want to upgrade from my Shimano Raider and carry it as a spare rod.
Any advise appreciated.
Regards, Monkey
