Well at last managed to put the boat in the water at long last after a terrible run of bad weather and work commitments. Headed out Friday Morning from the Boyne ramp, towards NW Island. The trip out was excellent with the conditions only improving as the day went on. The Fishing although proved considerably quite while the Tide was roaring. Managed to bag a few nice Reds however around the turn of the tide, best going a tad over 11 kg. Returned back to the Boyne around 1pm with absolutely glorious conditions.
Cheers

Well done mate. Not happy I am at work again when the weather comes good. Glad someone got out though. And that water looks pretty good.

Last of the reef fish closures is 3rd Dec - 11th Dec inclusive. Here is the link to the dates on the DPI website - http://www.dpi.qld.gov.au/cps/rde/xchg/dpi/hs.xsl/28_3055_ENA_HTML.htm. Have a look around the rest of the DPI website to make sure you are familiar with size and bag limits and species ID etc.

Been a long time since a report Seith. At least you made it worthwhile when you did get out!

Smithy, I agree but between the weather and the closed periods it's been frustrating. It looks like the weather might be Ok again for Thursday/Friday.
Hows the new job been progressing?
Cheers
