after going to buy my favourite colours in the surecatch poppers i took out the yak and headed for the sand flats just as the tide started to come over the flats.
i pulled the yek onto a small island and cast into the channel and brang the popper onto the flats. i didnt wait very long and i caught my pb flattie on popper at 51cm smash it at my feet in less then ankle deep water.
i took the yak after no more success and targeted to sand patches between the weed. after no luck i changed from my favourite clear popper over to and orange 1 and 2 cats after that had about 5 bream fighting over my lure. after a few bream i though it would be better to move to a different spot and then my lures go smashed and i landed a whiting at 30cm.
i kept targeting those patches and caught another flathead and 6 whiting and a few bream. as i headed back home i was casting along a bank and was rewarded with a good whiting around 35cm.
i dont keep fish very much at all but this whiting was fat and so i slipped him under the yak and took it for tea

here are some of my favourite poppers i like to use.
my bubble pop is missing because it was stolen by a bream who decided that he needed it more then i did so it ran around a pole.
the one on the top is a surecatch and so is the one below.

Not often you still see a lure on a fish whilst its on the preparation bench (plate)
At what point do you remove the popper??

lol just giving you a look at the popper and a 5cm popper is really not that big for a whiting to smash it.
i was getting 20cm whiting on it and they are really aggressive.
lumox- just kkep the popper moving by just continue winding and twitching.
you dont want big bloobs just enough to get some action. usually the whiting will get it first time but even if they chase it to your feet keek it moving.
chris-the sharasu is an awsome lure if it gets a bit windy because it dives just under the surface and does a walk the dog retreve
