Yeah a drum dryer is good but hard to build cause i build up to 15"9 rod they have a 21" Sand spike and the pole in the middle will sag over that distance

How about one with drum sections that can be added or removed or making it telescopic as the rod length dictates??
Just use a single bearing post on the pointy end as well as the two bearing support at the motor end and that way everything wouldn't be supported from the drive end as they normally do. And if your doing short rods just take sections off the pointy end and that'll make it a normal drum dryer.
You'd have to make sure the dryer is longer then the long rods though otherwise :-X
Make the shaft 25 or 30mm ali tube and take it down to about 20 or so mm to go into the bearing/s at each end and that shouldn't bend in the middle.
How many of these long suckers would you do compared to say 9'er's or shorter??
That shouldn't be too hard says the bloke on the keyboard. :)
Mmm might be a project for next week ::)
