I think I had better put my special hat on and go stand in the corner again but in my defence I did have my 3 year old helping me, bless her sweet soul.
If someone gets less than me I will tell mine:)

woohoo 86% not bad for a broken down sparky but some of those electrical questions are ambiguous as they all had bits of series but the loads are in variations of the series/parallel.
Sometimes I just read too much into something :(

Ok , i was very confussed by some of the electrical questions, but the above statement just made it worse!!:P

79 but it took about 4 hrs to do while renovating the kitchen, went some thing like this, answer a few, back to work, coffee break, answer some more etc. Be nice to know where I screwed up though. more likely it was from not reading the questions right, that will do any way
cheers

Not sure what you mean? Are you saying "technically" their all series/parallel?

390 78% for me. Damn pulleys stuffed me up i think, i can remember learning about them and thats about it ::)

Edit- what i ment to say was i don't need pulleys with arms like these ;D (knots in cotton)

Yeah technically the switches and battery were in series.
They should have asked if the loads are in series or parallel or combinations.

The cook had to ask what the hell I was doing when I was doing the test though with the gears and pulleys and such.
I sat here with my little fat right hand digit drawing circles this way then that way in the air in front of the screen and counting with my left hand.
She thought I finally flipped. I didn't have the heart to tell her that happened years ago ;D

92% But as Finga said, some of the questions are ambiguous.

Like the one about the fans(Q38) - will they turn in the same direction? One will turn counter clockwise and one will turn clockwise when viewed from behind each.

Google was a bit of help with understanding the theory of pulleys too.
Basically divide the load by the number of lines going to the load end.
1 line = 100% of load, 2 lines = 50%, 3 lines = 33.333% and so on.

Q. 26 (the one about the 3 lamps and two switches, with one of the switches having its leads between lamp 1 and lamp 3) I got that wrong - But I still reckon the middle lamp would glow dimly. I must test my theory with lightbulbs and battery.

The ones I got wrong were Numbers 7, 26, 38, 48

Q.48 The one about what causes air to enter a cylinder during intake stroke is a combination of both suction and atmospheric pressure. Atmospheric pressure wont have any effect if the area where you want the air to go isn't at a lower pressure than the surrounding atmosphere - unless you are using some means of compressing the air to force it to where you want it.

Yeah I know - sour grapes..... But I admit to getting Q.7 just plain wrong.
